Instructions: Dig up resources for the LGBTQ+ community in the Gatineau/Ottawa region. You can do this in any way you want. If you don’t know where to start, pick a category from the main page and start a search on Google (ex: type in “LGBTQ friendly counseling Ottawa”). You can then visit the websites in the search results and do a quick overview to decide if it is a resource that we could potentially use. You don’t need to do any deep research into the resource yet, simply add it to the bottom of the list in the “Resources to research” page I’ve included below. Before you add it, make sure the resource you’ve found is not already included in the page or already added to a category in the main page.
A helpful way of finding new resources is by looking for a partners page on a reliable resource’s website. Resources for the LGBTQ+ community tend to be a web, and will often be connected to each other in some way. One resource can guide you to a dozen more.
Remember to stay focused. As you research, you will be led to more resources, which will lead you to more resources, which will lead you to more resources... Don’t go down the rabbit hole. If you find resources that you think could be interesting, add them to the page and continue with your research.
